NBC family drama ‘This Is Us’ is filming in Paso Robles
The NBC family drama “This is Us” is filming an upcoming episode in Paso Robles for its sixth and final season.
Allegretto Vineyard Resort in Paso Robles has become a Hollywood set this week, with film trailers visible in the resort parking lot.
Signage for the prime-time television show is visible at the resort. One sign in a parking lot read “TIU.”
“In regards to story line, the members of the Pearson family continue to evolve their relationships during a trip to wine country,” an NBC spokesperson told The Tribune.
The footage shot in Paso Robles will air in an upcoming episode, the spokesperson said.
Rich Verruni, Allegretto general manager, said the resort was not able to comment on activities happening at the location.
“This is Us” stars actors Sterling K. Brown, Mandy Moore and Milo Ventimiglia, among other Hollywood television actors.
SLO County a common spot for Hollywood filming
While the occasional celebrity can be spotted working or exploring the county, scenes from San Luis Obispo County locations are also frequently seen in film, television, music and advertising.
“Everybody is very proud of our beauty,” San Luis Obispo County Film Commission (Film SLO CAL) film liasion Eric Parker said.
In 2020, 24 productions were shot in the county, generating an estimated $590,000 in revenue for the community, Parker said.
The 2021 report is not yet completed, but productions spent more time filming in the county than in 2020, likely generating more revenue through sales at local businesses and taxes for the county, Parker said.
“It’s really exciting to get SLO CAL featured on the silver screen,” Parker said. “We are a destination that is becoming more and more desired and the ease of filming in SLO CAL is really attractive for film scouts and directors.”
“This is Us” airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on NBC.
