‘Twilight’ actor Taylor Lautner, fiancee celebrate engagement at Paso Robles winery
After popping the question to his girlfriend last week, “Twilight” actor Taylor Lautner and his new fiancee celebrated by popping wine bottles in a weekend trip to Paso Robles.
Photos posted on his Instagram show Lautner, 29, holding a glass of red wine at DAOU Vineyards, while Tay Dome, a registered nurse, displays her oval cut engagement ring for the camera. The couple announced the news of their engagement on Saturday.
“Cannot wait to spend forever with you @taydome,” Lautner wrote, adding, “You calm me when I’m anxious. You make me laugh way too much. You make every single day spent with you so special. And most importantly, you make me a better person. I can’t thank you enough for what you’ve brought to my life. I love you forever.”
Lautner and Dome enjoyed a private picnic overlooking the view with a special menu and a flight of wines that included his favorite, Soul of a Lion, 2018, said Katherine Dolecki, senior communication’s manager with DAOU’s public relations agency.
Lautner proposed to Dome on Thursday. Surrounded by red rose petals and candles, he got down on one knee in front of a marble fireplace and a pink neon “Lautner” sign, according to an Instagram post.
“11.11.2021 ... And just like that, all of my wishes came true,” he wrote.
The couple’s tour of Paso Robles also included tastings at DAOU Vineyards, as well as Epoch Estate Wines in Templeton and visiting the sheep, cats and other animals at Halter Ranch Vineyards in Paso Robles, posts on Lautner’s Instagram story show.
Paso Robles seems to be a favorite spot of Lautner’s, who’s best known for playing werewolf Jacob Black in the blockbuster vampire movie franchise.
In January 2021, he visited the 1122 Cocktail Lounge and Speakeasy, and in February 2019, he was spotted in a previous visit to DAOU, according to The Influence Instagram account.
