“Weird Al” Yankovic will be stopping in Paso Robles in September 2022 as part of the The Unfortunate Return of the Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour.

This tour is a treat for Yankovic super-fans as “Weird Al” digs deep through his 14-album catalog to perform some of his lesser-known, non-parody material, according to a description of the tour by Vina Robles.

This is Yankovic’s first tour since the start of the pandemic. In 2019, the five-time Grammy award winner performed alongside a full orchestra as part of the No String Attached tour, according to Vina Robles.

Yankovic is a beloved figure in San Luis Obispo County. The parody musician graduated from Cal Poly in 1980, where he was a Dean’s List Scholar and student DJ with KCPR. He recorded the parody that got him noticed, “My Bologna,” in the bathroom of the Graphic Arts building on campus.

In 2016, Yankovic was part of the inaugural group inducted into the Cal Poly Mustang Media Hall of Fame.

Yankovic will be performing with special guest comic Emo Philips at Vina Robles on Sept. 15, 2022. Tickets range from $45 to $69 and can be purchased starting Dec. 10 on Vina Paso Robles’ website at vinaroblesamphitheatre.com.
