SLO High School runner Callum Bolger inks letter of intent to Stanford

San Luis Obispo High School middle distance runner Callum Bolger signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Stanford on Wednesday at Holt Field.

Flanked by coaches Steve Boaz and Adam Basch, Bolger made official what he announced last month. The senior picked Stanford — where he expects to run both cross country and track — over other schools including Washington, Notre Dame and Michigan.

Bolger is coming off a string of first-place cross country finishes this fall, including a win last week at the PAC 8 finals. The decorated runner is set to compete in the CIF-Southern Section Division Prelims on Friday at the Riverside City Cross Country Course.
