Children of America deserve leader who behaves like an adult

Dear President-elect: I’m also an “angry white man” and I hope you will listen to me too.

Congratulations on your win. I hope you can bring this country together and help us all heal. As my president, I will support you, but as a fellow human being, I’m saddened and disgusted by your actions and the campaign you ran. It really doesn’t matter who you are running against or what ideas you are championing, there is never an excuse to behave the way you did.

As a father of two daughters, I am embarrassed and ashamed by your public persona and your private behavior. I don’t expect you to act presidential, because I don’t think you are capable, but I do hope you act more like an adult and less like a spoiled 10-year-old. This should be your first step to healing the country. Our children deserve better.
