Those who stand outside Planned Parenthood are on the side of life

The proper addressee for Alisa Piette’s letter (“To those who protest outside Planned Parenthood: Go away!” Sept. 6) is Planned Parenthood.

Mistakenly, she is sending this message to the peaceful, prayerful presence outside the clinic, who are seeking to save the lives of unborn children. Abortions are killing defenseless unborn children inside Planned Parenthood, as well as providing the means of chemical “do it yourself” abortions.

It is wrong to take another’s life, even if the law condones it. Life begins at conception; this is not a belief, but an undeniable scientific fact beautifully recorded in photography, film and ultrasound. Is it “obnoxious, antagonizing, offensive” to protect this new life? The baby in the womb is the same person as the baby born.

Those who stand outside Planned Parenthood are on the side of life. It is precisely to “safeguard” the unborn children and parents who need any help (short of killing the child as Planned Parenthood’s form of help) which inspires them to bear witness in front of Planned Parenthood.
