Cal Poly fire now 100 percent contained
The 105-acre vegetation fire on Cal Poly’s campus that burned for three days reached full containment Friday afternoon, according to Cal Fire.
The fire broke out Tuesday near the Cal Poly P, forcing temporary evacuations for students and nearby residents as the blaze stretched across the hillside below the landmark. All evacuations were lifted Tuesday night.
Crews were able to reach 95 percent containment Thursday night.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
