Armed robber holds up Paso Robles store for cash and cowboy boots
Paso Robles police are searching for a suspect in an armed robbery at a music and clothing store Wednesday afternoon.
Officers responded about 12:10 p.m. to La Miramar Musica Y Mas at 500 Spring St. after a store clerk called to report the incident, according to a Paso Robles Police Department news release.
The clerk said a man entered the business armed with a pistol and demanded money and a pair of cowboy boots. Once the clerk had given the robber boots and money from the cash register, he fled out the front doors in an unknown direction.
Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the thief. He’s described as a white man in his 40s standing 6 feet, 1 inch tall, weighing about 180 pounds, clean shaven and with short hair.
The man was wearing a white T-shirt, blue jacket and black jeans and was carrying a black backpack. He was armed with a small black handgun.
Witnesses said they saw a man matching that description get into a burgundy sedan parked in a lot on 4th Street and hide in the back seat while a white woman with brown hair and reading glasses drove away.
Anyone with information about the robbery or suspect is asked to call the Paso Robles Police Department at 805-237-6464 or Crime Stoppers at 805-549-STOP.
