Paso Robles police release photos of liquor store robbery
Police are asking for help identifying two suspects who robbed a Paso Robles liquor store Saturday night.
The Paso Robles Police Department on Tuesday released images of the robbers taken from security cameras inside Wayside Liquor on the 700 block of Creston Road.
Officers responded to the store after a silent alarm was activated, according to the release. Two employees told police one of the men pointed a handgun at the clerk behind the counter and demanded money and a bottle of alcohol.
The clerk then gave the suspects the alcohol and cash from the register. The suspects fled the store and fired at least two rounds into the air, which the employees said sounded like shots from a cap gun.
The suspects were described as slender, standing from 5 feet, 8 inches to 5 feet, 10 inches tall, and were wearing dark-colored hooded sweatshirts. One suspect was wearing dark pants, a black ski mask, black gloves, a black Seattle Seahawks hat and black shoes with white Nike swooshes on the sides. He was also carrying a black, small-caliber, long-barreled revolver.
The other suspect was wearing dark blue jeans, a military-style green belt, white batting gloves with red fingertips, a black ski mask with a white skeleton print and black shoes with red symbols on the sides and red-colored treads. He was also carrying a black semi-automatic handgun.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Paso Robles Police Department at 805-237-6464 or Crime Stoppers at 805-549-7867.
