Atascadero pizzeria robber took out a gun but didn’t say a word during holdup

An armed man on Thursday night robbed Fatte’s Pizza in Atascadero, making off the with contents of the restaurant’s cash register.

Atascadero police responded around 9:45 p.m. to the 5700 block of El Camino Real, according to Sgt. Caleb Davis.

A man armed with a black handgun walked into the restaurant displayed his weapon without saying anything, Davis said. Employees then gave the man cash from the register.

The suspect is described as a white man, standing from 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds, Davis said. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, a black ski mask and blue jeans.
