Vehicle rollover causes brush fire on Hwy. 101; 1 person extricated

At least one person had to be extricated after a vehicle rolled over on northbound Highway 101 near Laetitia Winery on Sunday afternoon.

The crash happened about 3:30 p.m. south of Arroyo Grande, according to the CHP. According to the CHP’s incident log, the vehicle was a pickup that rolled off the road and started a small brush fire.

Cal Fire assisted in extinguishing the fire, and extricated at least one person from the vehicle.

As of about 4 p.m., the fire was out but traffic on the northbound side of the highway was slow because emergency crews were working on the crash, Cal Fire said. Drivers were advised to use caution. As of 5:30 p.m., traffic was flowing again, according to the CHP.
