Stone Fire at 100 percent containment after burning 340 acres

The Stone Fire reached 100-percent containment on Tuesday evening.

The Stone Fire, which is burning east of Santa Margarita, is now 95 percent contained, Cal Fire said Tuesday morning. Authorities said they expect the fire to be fully contained by Tuesday night.
The 340-acre blaze, which started about 2 p.m. Sunday, quickly grew to 200 acres within the first hour. It destroyed seven structures, including one home, three travel trailers, two shops or barns and one pump house or outbuilding.
