Log jam in Big Sur River breaks loose, sending debris downstream
A log jam broke loose in the Big Sur River on Sunday.
The Monterey County Sheriff’s Department posted a video of trees, branches and other debris flowing down the river.
There is a lot of falling rock, mud slides and running water on the roads, the Sheriff’s Office wrote.
Highway 1 fromo Ragged Point to Lucia in Monterey County is closed in both directions due to rocks and mudslides.
