Update: Marcus Garcia, of Paso Robles, won the poll with 2,207 votes, or 64% of the tally. Jack Froehlich, of Paso Robles, was second with 425 votes, or 13%. Jaron Sampson, of Templeton, had 381 votes, or 12%.

Original story: In Week 1, choose from 12 San Luis Obispo County football players for the fan-based vote for the player of the week.

Arroyo Grande’s Zack Tayman won The Tribune’s Week 0 poll securing 2,634 votes, or 61% of the overall tally. Templeton’s Tyler Cunningham was second with 1,025 votes, representing 24% of the total.
