Paso Robles resident should be glad diesel trucks deliver food to stores
Betty Scanlan states in her letter (“It’s hard to be progressive in Paso Robles these days,” March 26) that she has been unable to grow tomatoes for 10 years in Paso Robles because it’s too hot. If she believes that temperatures are rapidly increasing in recent years, then why couldn’t she grow tomatoes 10 years ago when it was cooler? I think she would have been unable to grow tomatoes 50 years ago.
Interesting that Ms. Scanlan is concerned about diesel trucks in her town of Paso Robles. She has already recognized that she can’t grow her own food, her tomato crop failure, so she should be glad that some of those diesel trucks deliver food to stores in Paso Robles.
I wonder how much electricity to power her electric car comes from that evil Diablo Canyon nuclear power plant.
