Diablo Canyon’s nuclear waste is not good for the environment

In regard to Ellie Ripley’s letter (“Diablo Canyon plant and its nuclear power are good for the environment,” Oct. 22): Diablo Canyon nuclear power plant produces nuclear waste that lasts for 10,000 years, which in my opinion is not “good for the environment.” Diablo has a blue line at its entrance that if you cross it you are “trespassing” — a crime. I have crossed it twice. I do not like going to jail.

More roofs should be like mine, covered with panels producing more electricity than I use or need — is yours?
