Atmospheric river storm hits California. What area of SLO County saw the most rain?

An atmospheric river storm hit California over the weekend, dropping heavy rain on at least one part of San Luis Obispo County.

The Nationa Weather Service shared a notice Saturday evening showing 24-hour rainfall totals for the storm.

A whopping 2.79 inches hit Rocky Butte, while 0.99 inches fell at Lake Nacimiento and 0.97 inches in Santa Margarita.

Other areas in the coastal hills, including Pismo Beach and Arroyo Grande, also reached from about half to about a full inch of rain.

Cloudy skies are expected to stay through Sunday night and into Monday morning, with a chance of southerly winds and scattered rain showers, according to the Weather Service.

San Luis Obispo County should expect wet weather through Thanksgiving Day.
