Did you see rain in SLO County? More may be on the way, weather agency says
San Luis Obispo County saw sprinkles on Tuesday, and more rainfall is likely on the way.
Unfortunately, Tuesday’s storm provided little relief to the extreme drought conditions being experienced by much of the Central Coast.
Less than a half inch of rain fell in the county Tuesday, according to the San Luis Obispo County Public Works Department, which records rainfall totals in various areas of the county.
More rain may come to SLO County early next week, according to the National Weather Service.
The agency is predicting a chance of showers late Sunday evening through Tuesday, accompanied by cooler temperatures.
In the meantime, the National Weather Service has issued a freeze watch for SLO County’s interior valleys.
Temperatures could drop to 28 degrees Fahrenheit from Thursday night to Friday morning, the agency said.
Local communities impacted by the freeze watch include Atascadero, Lake Nacimiento, Paso Robles, San Miguel, Templeton, Carrizo Plain, Creston and Shandon, according to the agency.
