San Luis Obispo County set a new heat record on Saturday, breaking a mark set 39 years ago.

PG&E meteorologist John Lindsey tweeted Saturday afternoon that temperatures at the SLO County Regional Airport reached 90 degrees at 1 p.m.

This temperature topped the previous record of 88 degrees set on Nov. 13, 1982, and the 87-degree mark that was seen on Nov. 13, 1933.
