2020 Voter Guide: How SLO City Council candidates compare in our election questionnaire

San Luis Obispo voters will make a big decision this November: Who will represent the residents on the City Council?

In one of the largest races in the county, eight people are running for a total of two empty seats. Incumbent Andy Pease is the only sitting City Council member attempting to hold on to her seat, against a field of seven other people: Kelly Evans, Erik Long, Jan Marx, James Papp, Jeffery Specht, Abrianna Torres and Robin Wolf.

See what the candidates said in our questionnaire about affordable housing, the city’s proposed sales tax increase, development downtown and the San Luis Obispo Police Department’s handling of Black Lives Matter protests, especially the arrest of notable local activist Tianna Arata.
