Lawyer appointed to Los Osos services district board
Attorney Jon-Erik Storm was appointed to a vacant seat on the Los Osos Community Services District’s Board of Directors on Wednesday night.
The board had a special meeting to consider five candidates to fill the seat vacated by David Vogel, who moved outside the district boundaries in December.
Storm has lived in Los Osos since 2007 and established his practice in the community in 2010.
He has served on the Los Osos CSD finance advisory committee and on the Los Osos Chamber of Commerce board of directors.
“I will work hard with the (CSD) board and Los Osos residents to ensure that the one entity responsible to the voters of Los Osos — and only to the voters of Los Osos — continues to move us forward together,” Storm said in an email.
Storm was elected after two secret ballot counts were tallied from the remaining four board members.
The first ballot was 2-1-1 with two votes for Storm and one vote for each of the two other candidates present at the special meeting.
On the second ballot, Storm was elected with a 3-1 vote with one vote going to another candidate and none for the third.
Three votes were required for Storm's election.
