A pup once abandoned at a gas station is now getting a second chance to find a family that will “love him always,” a Pennsylvania shelter said.

Meet Winston, a 1-year-old “proper gentleman,” according to the Cambria County Humane Society. He will be ready for adoption this week, according to a June 10 Facebook post.

He was tied to a pole and abandoned at a gas station, the shelter said.

Now, the “friendly” dog needs a home “where he can get all of the attention and love he deserves,” the post said.

Winston has lived with other dogs in his young life, the shelter said, so another dog in household should not be a problem.

He is scheduled for a neuter appointment June 12, but the shelter said he will be ready to meet his future family later in the week.

The Cambria County Humane Society is in Johnstown. Anyone interested in Winston, or another adoptable pet, can apply at the shelter’s website.

Cambria County is about an 80-mile drive east of Pittsburgh.
