Cheetos-flavored popcorn: Coming soon to a theater near you

What could be better than watching “Star Wars: The Last Jedi?” How about watching “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” while eating Cheetos-flavored popcorn?

Frito-Lay announced that it has entered into a partnership with Regal Cinemas, and participating locations will serve Cheetos popcorn beginning Friday, becoming the first national theater chain to do so.

“The dangerously cheesy popcorn snack has previously been available at other venues across the country, but this will bring the snack nationwide,” a statement from Frito-Lay says.

No word on whether finding a weird-shaped kernel would be worth any money.

So this Christmas, pop a Flamin’ Hot Cheetos-flavored turkey into the oven, maybe splash on some Cheeteau Perfume and head down to the nearest Regal Cinemas. And if it doesn’t sell Cheetos popcorn, you can always grab some Mac ‘n Cheetos from Burker King.

Regal Cinemas has theaters in Arroyo Grande and Santa Maria.
