Authorities on Tuesday arrested a Templeton man suspected of being involved in a series of roadside stand thefts in the South County.

Robert Troy Yockey was taken into custody in the Bay Area by the South San Francisco Police Department after a warrant was issued for his arrest, according to the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office.

Yockey posted bail and was released, but he’s scheduled to appear in court in San Luis Obispo on May 15.

Sheriff’s deputies allege Yockey stole $200 to $300 worth of cash and produce from South County roadside stands.

The Sheriff’s Office last week released a surveillance camera photo of a suspect in hopes of identifying him.
