Police have identified a suspect in Wednesday’s Paso Robles bank robbery — and they’re asking for the public’s help locating him.

Bank surveillance video caught the crime on camera, and investigators used that footage to identify Ernesto Noriega Cisneros as the suspect, according to a Paso Robles Police Department news release Thursday.

The suspect, later identified as Noriega Cisneros, entered the Wells Fargo on Spring Street on Wednesday afternoon and handed a note to a bank employee, Paso Robles Police Department Cmdr. Ricky Lehr previously told The Tribune.

He claimed to have a firearm, but he didn’t display it during the robbery, police said. The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of money.

The man then fled on foot northbound on Spring Street at about 2:49 p.m.

The bank closed on Wednesday after the robbery, but it reopened for its regular hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, a receptionist told The Tribune.
