Bakersfield man arrested after alleged stabbing in Pismo Beach
A Bakersfield man was arrested Saturday morning after an alleged stabbing in Pismo Beach that left another man seriously injured.
Officers responded at about 7:53 a.m. to a report of a possible stabbing at the Addie Street public restrooms, according to the Pismo Beach Police Department.
When officers arrived, they found an adult man with stab wounds. The man received emergency medical care at the scene before being transported to Adventist Health Sierra Vista hospital for serious injuries.
Police identified the suspect as 60-year-old Jody Flowers of Bakersfield. Witnesses identified Flowers at the scene, and officers took him into custody without incident, according to police.
Flowers was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon. He is being held without bail, police said.
Investigators determined the stabbing was an isolated incident and said there is no ongoing threat to the public. No additional suspects are believed to be involved.
