Police arrested a San Luis Obispo man on Jan. 6 after finding methamphetamine in his apartment.

While the San Luis Obispo Police Department was investigating Eric Lamar Farrior, 65, for suspected narcotics sales, officers contacted him at his apartment on Monterey Street.

“Farrior was on probation for prior narcotics-related arrests and had search terms which allows law enforcement to access his apartment,” a news release from the San Luis Obispo Police Department said.

When officers searched the apartment, they found one pound of methamphetamine, plastic bags and a digital scale, among other items commonly used for the sale of narcotics, police said.

Officers arrested Farrior and booked him into the San Luis Obispo County Jail for alleged possession of a controlled substance, felony transportation for the purpose of sales of a controlled substance and felony possession with prior convictions.

As of Thursday afternoon, Farrior was no longer in custody at the jail, according to the sheriff’s booking log.
