Murder of SLO County woman featured on true crime TV show. Here’s how to watch
A CBS true-crime series will soon air an episode about a San Luis Obispo County murder.
In May 2018, Paso Robles hairstylist Nancy Woodrum went missing — kicking off a months-long investigation into her disappearance, according to previous Tribune reporting.
Woodrum owned The Strand Salon with her daughter, and friends remember her as a “strong and independent” person, a Tribune article said.
The investigation identified Carlo Fuentes Flores as a suspect in the case in November 2018, and he later confessed to Woodrum’s murder.
He waived his right to a jury trial, and San Luis Obispo Superior Court Judge Timothy Covello found him guilty of murder committed during the commission of rape and residential burglary.
Flores was sentenced to a life in prison without parole.
The story of Woodrum’s murder will be featured on the CBS television show “Harlan Coben’s Final Twist,” according to a news release from CBS.
Coben is a New York Times best-selling author of mystery novels. Now, he hosts the true-crime docuseries, which explores real-life murder cases.
The episode about Woodrum, called “No Sign of Nancy,” was set to air on CBS and Paramount Plus on Tuesday from 5 to 6 p.m.
