A truck crashed through the front patio of a San Luis Obispo credit union late Monday evening.
According to a Facebook post from the San Luis Obispo County Police Department, officers responded to a single-vehicle crash in the 3800 block of Broad Street late Monday night.
Arriving at the scene of the crash, officers found a pickup truck that had traveled off the road and crashed through a fence before coming to a stop in the outdoor patio area of SESLOC Credit Union.

The driver, the vehicle’s sole occupant, was transported to a local hospital for evaluation before being booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail on suspicion of driving under the influence.
“We are grateful this incident occurred after business hours when the patio was empty,” the post read. “This serves as a stark reminder of how quickly an impaired driver can lose control.”
