On Sunday at about 12:15 p.m., the Pismo Beach Police Department received a report of a shooting victim near the pedestrian tunnel connecting the 800 block of Bello and Price streets, according to a news release.

Officers found a 14-year-old boy with a “minor injury to a finger,” the release said.

According to the release, video surveillance from the area showed the boy and a suspect together “shortly before the incident occurred.”

“The victim was uncooperative at the scene, and officers are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident,” the release said.

The suspect remained outstanding as of Tuesday.

Police said it appeared to be an isolated incident and officers did not believe there was an ongoing threat to the public.
