Suspect on the run after stabbing seriously injures man in Grover Beach
An altercation in Grover Beach became violent Saturday when one man was stabbed and another fled.
Grover Beach Police officers responded to a call about a fight between people in two vehicles parked on the 1700 block of Ramona Ave on Saturday at around 11:56 a.m., the Grover Beach Police Department said in a news release.
Police interviewed multiple witnesses near the scene of the fight, but both the suspect and victim had already left the area, the release said.
A few minutes later around noon, police found an adult man with multiple stab wounds on his torso near the intersection of 16th Avenue and Grand Avenue, the release said.
The victim was take to the hospital with serious injuries, though he is in stable condition, the release said.
The suspect fled the scene in a minivan and could not be located, according to the news release.
Later Saturday at around 9:45 p.m., Grover Beach police officers located the minivan elsewhere in the city, but the occupants of the vehicle were not connected to the stabbing incident.
Police officers impounded the minivan and are still searching for the suspect in the stabbing.
