Assault rifles seized from drunk driver in Paso Robles amid DUI arrests, police say

Paso Robles police officers arrested four people on suspicion of drunk driving — and one was in possession of illegal firearms, according to the Paso Robles Police Department.

Two of the arrests were made during the daytime and the other two took place at night, all during a 24-hour person, Paso Robles police said in a Facebook post.

Police said officers confiscated illegal AR-15 and AK-47 assault rifles from one driver who had a blood-alcohol content of 0.14%, nearly double the legal limit.

Another driver with a blood-alcohol content of 0.21% was involved in a traffic collision, police said, and a third driver had minors in the car.

The driver with the highest blood-alcohol content was at 0.22% at the time of their arrest, according to police.
