Convenience store worker stabbed multiple times in Pismo Beach robbery, police say

Police are searching for a man and woman involved in an armed robbery and attempted homicide that took place in Pismo Beach early Sunday morning.

Officers responded to reports of a robbery at the 7-Eleven convenience store located at 99 S. Dolliver St. around 5:58 a.m. Sunday, according to a Pismo Beach Police Department news release.

The male robber cornered the worker behind the register counter and stabbed them multiple times, the release said. The victim’s injuries are not life-threatening, according to police.

Meanwhile, the woman stole lottery tickets and cigarettes, police said.

The two suspects and their getaway vehicle were caught on surveillance cameras, police said.

According to the release, the suspects fled the scene in a 2000 or newer white Ford Expedition with a black luggage roof-rack and gray or brown running boards. The rear windows are tinted and the vehicle has chrome wheels, police said.

One robber is described as a 6-foot-tall Hispanic male adult in his 30s with a light complexion, police said.

He was wearing a black face covering and black hooded sweatshirt with multiple white stripes on the upper sleeves, long black shorts, white socks and black and white Nike athletic shoes and gloves, according to police.

Police described the second robber as a Hispanic female adult in her 30s that is about 5 feet tall and has a light complexion.

She was seen wearing a red bandanna as a face covering, a black knitted beanie, a black sweatshirt with the letters “ATI” on the back, black slim-fit pants, black and white athletic shoes and gloves, police said.

This is an ongoing investigation. Police have asked anyone with information asked to contact 805-773-2208.
