Jeep driver sought in hit-and-run crash that injured motorcyclist in Los Osos, CHP says

California Highway Patrol is looking for a 2005 or 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee that was involved in a hit and run, leaving a motorcyclist injured.

On April 25 at around 4:47 p.m., a 57-year-old Los Osos man was riding his 2001 Kawasaki motorcycle eastbound on Turri Road from South Bay Boulevard in Los Osos when he was struck by a vehicle, according to CHP.

The vehicle, described as a “charcoal gray colored Jeep SUV,” attempted to make a left turn from the dirt shoulder, cutting off the motorcyclist and causing a collision, according to a news release.

The motorcyclist experience major injuries to his left leg and back, according to the release.

CHP found evidence at the scene suggesting the vehicle was a 2005 or 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee, according to the release.

CHP says the Jeep will have damage to the left rear bumper and a missing left rear taillight.
