Man suspected of stabbing teen relatives during fight in rural Paso Robles identified
The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday identified a man who was arrested after he allegedly got into a fight with two teenage relatives and stabbed them in rural Paso Robles.
Deputies responded about 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday to reports of assault with a deadly weapon in the 4900 block of Bucktail Lane in Heritage Ranch, according to a news release.
Romen Homero DeLeon, 39, of Las Vegas allegedly got into a fight with 14-year-old and 17-year-old male relatives and stabbed them.
DeLeon, who was also stabbed in the fight, fled the area in a car and was stopped by deputies, the release said.
The injuries DeLeon and the teenagers sustained were not life-threatening, the Sheriff’s Office says.
DeLeon was taken to the hospital for treatment and was taken into custody upon his release, according to the agency. He was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and willful cruelty to a child with possible injury or death.
DeLeon was being held Friday at San Luis Obispo County Jail in lieu of $500,000 bail.
