This man is suspected of robbing an Oceano gas station at gunpoint. Have you seen him?
The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s help in locating an armed robbery suspect.
The Sheriff’s Office released surveillance images Thursday of a man believed to have held up the Oceano Market and Valero Gas Station on the 1700 block of Front Street earlier this week.
According to a news release, the man — described as a Hispanic male adult of average build — entered the store and approached the clerk around 8:50 a.m. Monday. The man, shown in photos with a hood pulled over his forehead and dark sunglasses, demanded money and brandished a handgun.
He left with an undisclosed amount of money, according to the release. Nobody was hurt in the incident.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the man was then seen getting into a 2009-13 Mitsubishi Gallant with another man. The car then headed south toward Los Berros Road.
Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office Detective Division at 805-781-4500.
