Police investigating body of woman discovered on SLO sidewalk early Saturday morning
Update, 5:45 p.m.:
According to a press release issued by the San Luis Obispo Police Department, both fire officials and police responded to check the welfare of an unresponsive female at 6:10 a.m. First aid was reportedly rendered, but the 29-year-old resident of San Luis Obispo was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Detectives from the San Luis Obispo Police Department and the SLO Sheriff’s coroner then responded.
Police said that based on the detective’s initial investigation, the cause of death is unknown and an autopsy has been scheduled. No foul play is suspected, authorities said.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the San Luis Obispo Police Department.

The San Luis Obispo Police Department and the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a body reportedly found early Saturday morning near Poinsettia Street and Lily Lane in San Luis Obispo.
Police said they received a call reporting a body found on the sidewalk on the 4400 block of Poinsettia St. at 6:10 a.m.
As of noon, authorities were still clearing the scene, police said.
No further information was available on the body, pending notification of next of kin, police said.
Another body was discovered last Sunday in Prefumo Creek in San Luis Obispo.
