‘Mustachioed bandit’ tries (and fails) to rob Paso Robles pawn shop

Paso Robles police are looking for a “mustachioed bandit” they say unsuccessfully tried to rob a pawn shop in the city on Monday.

According to a Facebook post from the department Monday evening, the man — wearing a blue hoodie and Los Angeles Dodgers baseball cap — walked into Campos Ceramic on Spring Street and demanded an empty grocery bag be filled with cash.

The store employee “wasn’t having it,” according to the post, and told the man that police were on their way. The man fled the store with his empty bag, police say.

Police are asking for anyone with information to contact the department.
