North County churches set to celebrate week of Christian unity

The annual ecumenical Week of Prayer for Christian Unity begins on Friday and concludes next Friday.

This year’s theme is “Justice, Only Justice You Shall Pursue” (Deuteronomy 16-20). All services are at 7 p.m. (except Saturday) with a prayer service followed by fellowship held each night in a different church.

Schedule and church locations:

Friday: Covenant Presbyterian, 1450 Golden Hill Rd., Paso Robles.

Saturday: Martin Luther King Day March begins at noon at Riverside and 21st Streets and proceeds to Flamson Middle School at 24th and Spring Streets, where a celebration will be held at 1 p.m. in the school auditorium.

Sunday: North County Christian Fellowship, 421 9th St., Paso Robles

Monday: St. Rose of Lima: 820 Creston Road, Paso Robles

Tuesday: Family Worship Center, 616 Creston Road, Paso Robles

Wednesday: Community Church, 5850 Rosario Ave., Atascadero

Thursday, Jan. 24: Solid Rock Christian Fellowship, 925 Bennett Way, Templeton

Friday, Jan. 25: Mission San Miguel, 775 Mission St., San Miguel

This week celebrates the shared beliefs of all Christians. All are welcome.
