San Miguel celebrates with a festive Christmas parade. Here’s who took home an award
The San Miguel Christmas Crafts Faire and Parade was a joyful occasion thanks to all who participated.
Winners were: Best Entry Overall, Almond Acres Academy and Lillian Larsen School (tied); Best Float, “Preschool Presents”; Best Individual, Cold Stone Creamery VW Bus; Best Group, Vehicles, Camp Roberts; Best Walking/Marching Group, Folklorico Dancers; Parade Committee Special Award, Mission San Miguel Youth Nativity Scene Float.

Quilts for fire victims
The Sewing Group that meets weekly at the San Miguel Senior Center made and sent more than 30 quilts, from lap size to full size, to victims of the Northern California fires.

Christmas Masses
At Mission San Miguel, Christmas Eve masses will be held at 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. (bilingual). Christmas Day masses are at 8 a.m. and noon in English and 2 p.m. in Spanish.
Garage cleanup
The old garage at 14th and Mission is looking much neater after a clean-up by Rick Decatur and Anthony Elisarraras (Ant’s Tractors). Thank you from the town.
