Cambria tops Morro Bay in tourney
The Cambria club took top honors at the first Pickleball Coast Cup Challenge, Cambria Pickleball By the Sea against the Morro Bay Pickleball Club on Saturday, Feb. 20, in Cambria.
Six doubles teams from each club played games against players of approximately the same skill level in each of two skill divisions. The winner was decided based on the club with the most points, rather than games won.
In addition to the 48 players in the initial lineup, substitute players and spectators were on hand for both teams. The second annual Coast Cup Challenge is planned for next year.
