One confirmed dead after Santa Margarita car crash

Original story: One person has been confirmed dead after a two-car collision that occurred Sunday afternoon on Park Hill Road in Santa Margarita, a Cal Fire spokeswoman said.

California Highway Patrol received notification about the accident in the 5300 block of Park Hill Road at 12:04 p.m., according to the CHP traffic log. Two cars collided head on, according to the log.

A CalStar helicopter was dispatched to the scene but was canceled at about 12:51 p.m., the CalFire spokeswoman said.

CalFire was uncertain whether two or three people were injured in the accident.
