A power outage cut off electricity to hundreds of PG&E customers in San Luis Obispo County on Saturday afternoon.

According to PG&E’s outage report map, 431 customers in rural Paso Robles lost power around 12:42 p.m. The outage was impacting residents south of Nacimiento Lake Drive.

PG&E said a team was “evaluating the electrical system to identify damaged sections and make necessary repairs in order to safely turn the power back on.”

Power is expected to be restored by 5:30 p.m.

The outage comes as much of the area was still under a heat advisory amid the potential for near-triple-digit temperatures.

According to the National Weather Service, the area outside of Paso Robles was expected to hit a high of 99 as of Saturday afternoon.
