Ramps are closing overnight on 2 SLO County highways. See when and where
Drivers on two highways in San Luis Obispo County will soon encounter overnight ramp closures at multiple locations.
On-ramps and off-ramps will close at nearly a dozen spots so construction crews can remove existing striping and replace markings, according to the California Department of Transportation.

Which Highway 1 exits will close for construction?
According to Caltrans, the following northbound and southbound off-ramps along Highway off-ramps will close due to roadwork:
- South Bay Boulevard
- Morro Bay Boulevard
- Main Street
- San Jacinto Street
- Yerba Buena Street
- Old Creek Road/Studio Drive Intersection
- 13th Street
- Cayucos Drive
- Highway 41
Which Highway 101 ramps are closing for roadwork?
On Highway 101, the northbound off-ramp onto Prado Road will be closed to traffic, Caltrans said in a July 9 news release.
In addition, the northbound Highway 101 off-ramp and southbound on- and off-ramps will close at Madonna Road.
When is construction starting?
Caltrans said the “full overnight closures” will start on Monday, July 13, with on-ramps and off-ramps off limits from 7:30 p.m. to 7 a.m. nightly.
How long will road closures last?
Caltrans said the roadwork should be completed by Aug. 7.
“Travelers are advised to take alternate on and off-ramps during the closures,” the state roads agency said. “Message and directional signs will alert travelers in advance of the ramp closures.”
