Vegetation fire threatens structure outside of SLO

A vegetation fire scorched 13 acres of San Luis Obispo County on Sunday afternoon, though the blaze was quickly halted in its tracks.

The fire, burning near the 200 block of O’Connor Way, was reported shortly after noon. It was 20% contained as of about 12:45 p.m.

Firefighters from Cal Fire and the San Luis Obispo City Fire Department responded to the vegetation fire, which at one point threatened a structure and had the potential to grow to as much as 50 acres, according to Watch Duty.

Firefighters from Cal Fire and the San Luis Obispo City Fire Department responded to the fire in the area of O’Connor Way, Cal Fire said in a social media post.

Crews remained on scene Sunday afternoon as firefighters continued working to contain the fire.
