1 reported dead as emergency vehicles swarm SLO car wash
A person was dead at a car wash in San Luis Obispo on Thursday afternoon, drawing a large emergency response presence to the Broad Street area.
A 911 call at about 4:11 p.m. reported that someone was bleeding at Sunset North Car Wash and Detail Center on Broad Street, according to emergency radio discussion.
When The Tribune arrived on the scene, multiple fire engines and police cars were parked nearby with lights flashing.
The individual who died was not assaulted, and there was no threat to public safety as of Thursday evening, San Luis Obispo Police Department Sgt. Brent Inglehart said at the scene.
Police did not have any more information to share as of 5 p.m.
