A car running a red light caused a crash at a busy intersection in San Luis Obispo early Thursday morning, the San Luis Obispo Police Department said.

Before the sunrise, the car ran a red light on Madonna Road while turning left onto northbound Highway 101 at about 5 a.m., police said.
