Early morning house fire damages garage, truck in SLO County

Three firefighter crews responded to an early morning residential fire in San Luis Obispo County on Wednesday.

The San Luis Obispo County Fire Department, Paso Robles City Fire and Templeton Fire crews responded to the 1100 block of Ladera Lane in Paso Robles around 3:56 a.m., where a residence had caught fire.

Firefighters were actively working on the incident until 5:20 a.m., when the fire was knocked down, according to Cal Fire’s post on X.

Video of the fire shared by the agency on X showed firefighters cutting open a roof structure on the property and a towering column of smoke spreading from the area. A photo from Cal Fire also showed major damage to what appeared to be a garage and a truck from the blaze.

The crews remained on scene as of Wednesday morning to conduct extensive overhaul and check for remaining hot spots or extension.
