Water main break floods busy SLO County intersection, shuts down nearby roads
The intersection at Niblick and Creston roads in Paso Robles was closed after a water main broke Friday morning, flooding the nearby area.
According to a Paso Robles Police Department news release Friday afternoon, the closure was at the intersection of Niblick and Creston roads as well as Sherwood Road at the Niblick and Creston intersection.
In a post on Facebook at 10:49 a.m., the Police Department advised drivers to take alternative routes for at least the next 13 hours as cleanup was ongoing.
Food 4 Less was still open throughout the work, the post said, but drivers were advised to use the entrances nearest to Brother’s Cafe or the Sinclair Gas Station.
The Police Department warned that “nearby businesses may experience impacts due to the road closures; however, every effort is being made to maintain access where possible and minimize disruption.”
“The city will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as additional information becomes available or if traffic control measures change,” the release said.
