Garbage truck fire causes road closure in SLO County
A garbage truck caught fire during a rainstorm on Thursday afternoon — causing emergency responders to close a San Luis Obispo County road.
The truck caught fire at about 4:50 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 46 and North Bethel Road near Peachy Canyon Winery, according to discussion on the emergency police radio.
Emergency responders closed North Bethel Road at about 5 p.m., discussion on the radio said.
Drivers should expect to encounter traffic control in the area.
